Dear Freethinkers and Humanists:

Tell Your Representative to Oppose a Slate of Voter Suppression Bills!

Congress is trying to do everything they can to pass voter suppression legislation, and this time, they’re thinking about bucking the usual process to do so. We need you to tell your members of Congress to strongly oppose voter suppression legislation and any attempt to ram these measures through.

Our vote is the most powerful tool we have to help ensure that every American has a say in the decisions that impact their communities and lives. But freedom and democracy are not guaranteed in America; these principles have to be actively fostered and protected. Yet once again, the majority in Congress is trying to make voting inaccessible to already marginalized communities by pushing legislation that disenfranchises voters by making them jump through needless hoops.

They’ve got their eyes on three bills: the SAVE Act (H.R.22 / S.128), the SAVE America Act (H.R.7296) and the Make Elections Great Again Act (H.R.7300). These bills, deceptively proposed as ‘election integrity’ measures to ‘secure elections’, are vehicles for voter suppression that will weaken free and fair elections.

We need to make it easier to vote in our country: not harder. Take just one minute NOW to tell your representatives in Congress to soundly reject these measures.
