Welcome to the First Coast Freethought Society.  Now in our twenty-fifth year! 🎉

The First Coast Freethought Society is a non-profit, tax-exempt, educational organization under IRS Chapter 501(c)(3). We are a group of freethinkers dedicated to promoting science and reason over religious dogma and fanaticism. We serve the needs of the nonreligious population of Northeast Florida.

Our advocacy values prefer progressive ideas over regressive ideas with an emphasis on equality equity, critical thinking, and efforts to improve the quality of life within our communities. We provide a place to discuss philosophy, science, books, movies, current events, and a venue for local and national speakers to share their expertise. We offer support to those who question or have rejected religious beliefs.

We provide a forum for individuals interested in learning more about the humanity of freethought through lectures and informal discussions regarding topics of interest. We enjoy fellowship with people who enjoy the art and science of inquiry. Public meetings are free. We offer a variety of ever-changing activities! We are eager and hope to see you too!
